Airports post fair growth for first semester of 2010

Geneva, 9 August 2010 – ACI's Paxflash report for June indicates a global increase in passenger traffic of 8%, confirming a return of demand for air traffic at airports worldwide. International traffic rose by 10.4% driven by strong growth in China, South Korea, Malaysia and Japan, whereas domestic traffic increased by 6.1%. The results for the first semester are equally positive with total traffic rising by 5.9% over 2009 (international + 6.7% and domestic + 5.3%).

Midway Airport

For the privatization of Midway airport, a comprehensive traffic forecast taking into consideration ground and air space congestion was developed to provide an investor with relevant inputs for its business and master plan.


Abu Dhabi Airport

The airport plans on opening a new terminal (Abu Dhabi Midfield Terminal) and in this context a passenger and cargo traffic forecast was prepared.



Tarbes-Lourdes-Pyrénées Airport

A traffic forecast, taking into account competition from surrounding airports, was prepared for an investor considering taking over the concession.
